If Korea is the Motherland then America is the Fatherland... And today I'm returning to the Fatherland.

Yesterday, my mom went into a deep mode of thinking, something she tends to do every once in a while. Her eyes fixated on some invisible object that only she can see... maybe a piece of dust that has become stagnant in the air. There's an intense look of conviction and concentration in her eyes,a gaze that can be broken by no one... Whenever she has these moments she always says a very cliched phrase. Today's silence was broken by a quiet whisper of "home is where the heart is." My mom is the queen of what I like to call "Disney moments", by that I mean really cheesy moments that only happen in really cheesy Disney movies. She proceded to relate a story of some grandma doing something somewhere... she's nuts. Or maybe I'm just disrespectful and should get whipped. Anyway, I love my mother.

Okay, that was not the point of this entry. I just wanted to say that although I do miss America there are some things that I am not looking forward to. And I will definitely miss Korea (I feel like I'm subliminally supporting Miss Universe). But yeah, more than just the cheap food and convenient transportation I'll miss my dad and some other things that I can't really name.
