When I started running at 7:40 it was raining a little. It started raining a little harder and then it stopped altogether. I ran through my neighborhood going up hills, and getting chased by this one chiwawa(?). When I hit the boulevard I started to count the cars that passed by so that I could keep my mind off my injured knee. It worked up to car no. 500, but afterwards I lost count because I took a detour to see if my mom was at someone's house. I continued down the boulevard until the sidewalk was discontinued. There was a choice between a grassy/dirt path or the road(against traffic). So I just stuck with the grassy/dirt path. Normally, I just crossed the street and ran on the sidewalk, but today I was feeling a bit rebellious. I didn't even wear a watch. As I was running, I noticed a very narrow trail going up the side of a hill, on the side of the road. I saw it and just kept running, two seconds later I decided to be spontaneous and so I turned around and ran up the narrow path. As I ascended the steep slope, the noisy cars began to fade away into the background, the city lights were slowly dissapearing beneath the hill. I was curious as to how far this trail would go so I kept running up and up. When I reached the top of the trail, I realized that it was probably a dirt bike track. Where there was no trail, there was grass, about knee high, waving back and forth shining in the moonlight. It seemed like something straight out of Lord of The Rings. I ran around for about ten minutes looking around half scared half excited. I heard noises from the bushes, got scared and ran away panicking. I almost fell, running back through the bumpy course, but it was well worth it. By the time I hit the boulevard with all the noisy traffic, I had forgotten about my knee injury, or the fact that I was even tired. When looking at all that nature I couldn't help but be in awe of our God. If this is just Diamond Bar, how great will heaven be. I'm going to visit again tomorrow.
