Reminded of God's wrath by Hurricane Katrina. Though it may seem cruel and unjust, God is just and his judgment is righteous. NPR said that this is "the most expensive storm and the most devastating in the nation's history." A few days ago I went through Isaiah 34 and it says, "Draw near, O nations to hear, and give attention, O peoples! Let the earth hear, and all that fills it; the world and all that comes from it. For the LORD is enraged against all the nations, and furious against all their hosts; he has devoted them to destruction, has given them over for slaughter."

Let us not forget the holiness of God.

"The end of all things is at hand; therefore be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers. Above all, keep loving one another earnesly, since love covers a multitude of sins. Show hospitality to one another without grumbling."
