"Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the thone, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire." - Revelation 20:11-15
Can you bear the sight of loved ones, their faces distraught, as they discover that they have not known God? As they await terrible and awesome judgment. O, how horrible it will be to see parents, siblings, friends and relatives absolutely helpless and hopeless as they are thrown into the lake of fire! Even the mightiest of men will be tossed like ragdolls into hell! We will see kings of nations, wise men, dictators, beggars all tremble and fall before a holy God! O, that we might preach the gospel while we still have time!
Yes, God is a just God, but does that in any way take away from our duty to preach the gospel? Christ's blood is enough! There will be no tears in heaven, but we are yet on earth. Let us cry for the lost, let us mourn for their souls! Whether Christ comes within a year or within one thousand years, we will all face Him in less than eighty.
Plead with men for God, plead with God for men.
